A06: Modeling of System Reliability

The aim of subproject A06 is to predict the reliability of subsystems and systems in the circular factory. Reliability refers to the probability that a component, or a (sub-) system fulfills a required function under given conditions over a defined period of time. This is necessary for deciding how a product should be circularly processed in the circular factory The reliability of the analyzed products is modeled. Methods and systems are developed to collect the data necessary to parameterize the reliability models. In the reliability models will be parameterized on the basis of different data and in the parameterized reliability models will be validated.

Prof. Matthiesen is well versed in the field of system reliability and test methods for mechatronic systems as well as their functional prediction.
